What always killed me about the modular V-10 was how unimpressive that engine is at doing work. 6mpg is one thing, but 6mpg and not even having a whole lot of power to show for it is something else. I’ve briefly driven some trucks and box trucks over the years with that engine, and I’m convinced the only thing it does well is drink fuel. Although, it doesn’t make a terrible noise.
